2011 CT Designs & Friends Giveaway begins!

Posted by Crystal's Blog

First of all I would like to wish all my readers a very Happy New Year!! Yesterday I was reflecting on what I was thankful for in 2010 and there were so many things. One of the top things on my list was that we welcomed our daughter into our family in September, making us a family of 5! She is the perfect addition to our family. I am also thankful for many answered prayers, family & friends and an increase in business which means I'm thankful for all of you!! As a way of showing my appreciation to all the wonderful clients I've had the pleasure of working with & to all the potential clients, I wanted to give something back. I not only wanted to give something from my business, but I wanted to go bigger and have a really nice prize package to give to one lucky winner. I also wanted to help out other small businesses by promoting their business to increase the awareness of the products/services they are providing to people in the Southern Manitoba area. After talking to many businesses I found that there were a lot of people that were excited about this idea as well and wanted to come on board.

With that being said, I'd like to welcome you to the 2011 CT Designs & Friends Giveaway. In June of last year we had a giveaway that featured 8 businesses in the Southern MB area and we gave away a total of $417.75 in prizes split between two people. This time around we have MORE businesses participating and the total value of the prize is worth more as well!! Here is how the giveaway will work:

1. The businesses, prizes and their values will remain a surprise until they are revealed each day.
2. I will be highlighting specific businesses throughout the month of January along with the prize they are donating, but it will not necessarily be every day since we do not have 31 businesses participating.
3. There will be only ONE Grand Prize winner who will receive all of the prizes.
4. All vendors highlighted throughout the month are allowed to enter the contest, except for on the day that their particular business is highlighted.
5. I, Crystal Thiessen, will keep track of the entries in order as they are received and will choose the winner on February 1, 2011 by a random draw through random.org.
LASTLY....
6. Post a comment below (on this post) letting me know what you were thankful for in 2010 or what your New Year's Resolution is for 2011 and that will be considered your OFFICIAL ENTRY into the giveaway.

Good luck to everyone!!

**NOTE: You will be able to gain EXTRA entries into the giveaway throughout the month by "liking" the specific Facebook Pages of the businesses that are donating prizes.

Hard to summarize what I'm all thankful for as it's been a pretty good year...but we anticipate the arrival of our 2nd child in May, so I'm thankful that God is expanding our family. And also thankful for the healthy, beautiful, incredibly smart and funny girl we have already.

I don't typically think of resolutions or stick to them when I do, but for some reason this year I was thinking that I want to be more positive in all aspects of life or find the positive in a negative situation. And in regards to Facebook specifically - post positive, happy thoughts as my status rather than writing about frustrations.

Praying that each of you experience the love and beauty of God this year.

I'm so thankful for my family. To be in the passenger seat beside my husband who is taking me on the grandest of adventures, and my 2 boys who teach me daily to laugh more, live more, and worry less.

To lose myself so that the glory of God can become clear through me.

I thought about MANY things I have to be thankful for, but at the top of my list I would have to say my family, my healthy, happy kids and my wonderful husband. As for a resolution, I have been participating in a wonderful Bible study that inspires me daily to have a closer relationship with Jesus, so I would have to say that is my lifelong resolution. Happy New Year to you Crystal and be blessed! Andrea Elias

If you are leaving comments as anonymous & would like to be entered into the giveaway, please leave at least your full name so that I can announce your name if you win. I can not give a prize to an anonymous person.

Also, thank you for bringing the color scheme to my attention. I have changed the background on my blog a few times, but in the meantime I guess I forgot to change the color scheme. Thanks for letting me know. I always appreciate feedback! Hopefully it's easier for you to read now.
