In June we had a very successful giveaway on my blog & I'm planning an even bigger one that will begin on January 1st!!! This is a giveaway that you DON'T WANT TO MISS! With having a baby in September and adjusting to life with three kids and then moving into the Christmas Season shortly after that, it's been a whirlwind 3 months for me. Check out this sweet little baby boy! I think the name Grayden is so cute and it suits this little guy so well. Birth Announcements are one of the most enjoyable cards for me to design for the fact that I get to look at those adorable little babies!

I'm trying out a few new things this Christmas Season. With the launch of my website I have now created a 2010 Holiday Card Collection where clients can view pre-made templates and choose templates from this gallery to be used for their family Holiday Card. All templates from this gallery can be changed the same way as a custom card by changing colors, fonts, wording, card size, etc. Also, if you choose a card from this gallery you will receive a 10% discount on your order. Once a family chooses a template from this gallery it will be removed and the exact design will not be offered to another family. This is in keeping with each family having their own unique card. I am also offering another NEW service which will be available for the 2010 Holiday Season ONLY! You can now purchase a digital file of your Holiday Card instead of ordering the prints directly through me. I am offering the digital files for $40 plus GST. Okay, the website is now up & running!! I think that this will benefit my business by allowing clients to view the products in a more organized & professional manner. It's still a work in progress and I plan to continue to improve it as time goes on. But, for now it's a beginning and I'd love to hear your thoughts on the flow of the website and what could be improved or what you like about it!! Any feedback is appreciated to allow me to serve you better.

I have been working really hard to get my website launched. I wanted to have it up and running by today, but it doesn't look like that will be happening. I am just making a few changes and getting approvals on a few things before I can have it ready to use. It's not ideal because I am using a free hosting site, but I wanted to start off with something like this to see if it would be beneficial to my business to have an actual website instead of just the blog and Facebook. Once I have it up and running I'd love to hear your feedback and if there is anything that you'd like to see added to the site.

I am currently offering 15% OFF your order of Christmas cards if you place your order with me before August 15. I know it's a little early for Christmas cards, but I am hoping to get a few orders in before the baby comes so that it won't be quite so busy right before Christmas. I am expecting a baby in mid September and I'm hoping to take a bit of time off from design just after the baby is born, but I will be back to designing hopefully in October in order to leave plenty of time for any requests that come in.

Heather and I went to High School together more than 10 years ago. Once Facebook came along we re-connected and when she became engaged I was really excited to get an email from her asking me to design her Wedding Stationary!! This is the first request that I have received where I was asked to design numerous items in the matching collection and I am not even kidding that I was a little giddy to get started on the project! I became so wrapped up in creating coordinating pieces that I created samples for a few items that they hadn't even requested....LOL!! :) Below is an image of the collection which includes: Save the Date magnet, Wedding Invitation (printed on card stock), RSVP card (printed on card stock, double sided), matching sticker which could be used to seal the RSVP card when folded in half to mail back to the couple. There will be a Wedding Program that will be added to the collection in the future and possibly a Thank You card as well!! I had been playing around with the idea of offering my services at designing Wedding Albums for couples. It was something that I wasn't sure about, so I wanted to see how much time it would take. I offered my services to my cousin Felicia and after seeing the final product I decided that I would like to include this as one of the services that I offer.

I am currently expecting a baby for September, but I would like to get in a few Wedding Albums before the baby arrives!! If you are a fan of mine on Facebook you are probably aware of the current promotion that I have going on. Since we had the giveaway going for 3 weeks, my blog updates have been behind. The month of June was quite busy, but I enjoyed all the work that came my way. Here is another birth announcement request from Kristel Bueckert Photography. This baby girl is so cute and I absolutely love the little bunny hat!! This family was torn on which card to choose, so they ended up going with two different cards.





Easton - Birth Announcement

Gavin - Birth Announcement

I am friends with the mom of this family and they had to wait "patiently" for this little guy to arrive!! But, they never stay in there forever!! I just love the pictures with his big sister and you can just tell that she is so happy that he has finally arrived. The pictures were once again provided by the talented Kristel Bueckert Photography!

This is what we have all been waiting for....the winner's of the giveaway!

I have been WAITING very impatiently to post this card! This is one of my favorite birth announcements so far and it might have to do with the fact that it involved not one, but two of the sweetest babies ever! I mean, they look perfect and their brother is so handsome between them. Kristel Bueckert did an amazing job with the photography (as always)!! When Andrew & Amanda approached me about doing wedding invitations they didn't really have an idea in mind about what they wanted. We sat down together and after starting with their wedding colors we figured out the rest of the details and we came up with something beautiful for their theme. They are so cute together and so in love! God bless you both on your upcoming wedding and your life together.

I received a call from Karine's mom after she saw my ad in the Coffee-Shop Talk and I was excited to design a Graduation Invite for her daughter Karine. This is the first Grad card that I have done, but I love getting new requests for any type of event and I would love to do more of these. When Stacey emailed me about doing a Wedding Thank You card I was thrilled!!! I haven't done one of those for quite a while, so I was excited to change it up and do something a little different. Stacey was extremely organized and had a good idea of what they wanted to see. They had all their wedding stationary designed around the theme of acorns and branches. She brought me a copy of their wedding invitation and wedding program which was a huge help for me to match the theme of their wedding. I scanned in the wedding invitation and used the acorn artwork and incorporated it into the Thank You card. It turned out exactly as I had hoped and I was so pleased with the result. I was also happy to hear the positive response from Stacey (& Peter)!! Here it is.

I have been in the process of redesigning my logo these last few months and I finally decided to hire Cynthia Korman of Cynthia Korman Photography and Design. She was super patient with me while I continued making changes, but I think the end result is so gorgeous. Here is the launch of my new logo! I'd love to hear your feedback on the new look.

I just love how this Wedding Invitation turned out! The invitations were all cut out by hand (by myself) in a heart shape. It took much longer than I originally thought, but the end result was beautiful!! Thank you Karla & Jamie for allowing me to design your Wedding Invitation and play a small part in your special day. This adorable girl is another regular client of Kristel Bueckert Photography along with her family. I just love to see kids grow up and this little girl is just the sweetest little ballerina you've ever seen.

The family of this little girl was recommended to me by one of my regular clients. It was exciting to see that they had a hard time deciding on a design, so they went with these two designs. The interesting thing is that the family that referred this family to me also has had a hard time deciding on card designs in the past and has gone with more than one layout in the past as well! I just thought it was a neat similarity.

I love designing cards from images that people send me. I would love to get more requests like this. It also saves you, the client, the cost of getting your pictures taken, but you can still get beautiful cards made to hand out to family and friends. Babies, babies and more babies!! I just LOVE babies and those who know me the best can vouch for that. That may also be one of the reasons we are expecting baby #3 in our household for September....only 20 months after our daughter was born. We are very excited about welcoming another child into our family.

And, here is another sweet, precious, adorable little baby. There seems to be a lot of boys born lately, or maybe it's just in the circle of people I know and design cards for, but this little boy is just as adorable as the others!! The last few cards that I have posted were actually all designed around the same time, but I thought I would space out the posts a bit in order to keep my fans from being overwhelmed with a bunch of new pictures/posts. January was a busy month of designing and I absolutely loved it, but it's been a nice break in February and March has started with a nice pace again. I'm looking forward to showing you some of the recent work I've been doing, but here is this Birth Announcement for now! God bless.

This is the third card I've had the honor of designing for this cute little boy. I have really enjoyed seeing him grow up over the past 6 months and hopefully I'll get more opportunities to see that cute little face. As soon as I saw the pictures from Kristel Bueckert Photography I immediately feel in love with his little faux hawk and his big blue eyes in these pictures. I'm sure you'll do the same when you see his pictures in the card below!

Here is another sweet baby that I had the pleasure of googling over while I designed his birth announcement. Babies are so precious and I especially love newborn pictures so I get all giddy when I get to design another birth announcement card. This was the card they decided on.

I was recently approached by another photographer to design her logo for her expanding business. Since I recently designed a logo for a photographer, I had some ideas still floating around in my head which made this logo design a little quicker for me. I was really happy with the result and she really liked it as well. Here is the final logo.

Well, here we are at the start of a New Year and a New Decade. I was thinking back over the last 10 years and what has all changed and there sure have been significant changes over those 10 years. It's exciting to think about what will happen in the next 10 years.

I have been so blessed to have grown my business in 2009 with the addition of another photographer that I work with (Kristel Bueckert Photography) and selling the Coffee-Shop Talk and Coffee-Cup Chatter publications in order to free up more time to be with my children and focus on the other part of my business which is the photo card designs, business cards, and all that other fun design stuff that I do. I'm looking forward to introducing new products in 2010 so please keep checking back for updates on the new services that I will be offering.
